On the Scene Footage: UK Rioting Spreads

Rioting in London has reportedly subdued midweek, but violence and destruction have made their way to other areas of the UK. Many videos are still coming in from the unfolding events on the streets of London and other areas as interest in first hand accounts continues to rise on YouTube.

All of the most viewed videos today in the United Kingdom are clips from the riots. The most-viewed video in the UK the past few days with over 1.5 million views is this clip of a Malaysian student -- later identified as Mohd Asyraf Haziq -- being helped up then mugged by some rioters. The BBC reports Haziq is currently recovering in a hospital. (Some adult language.)



Two of the other most popular clips include the volunteer cleanup effort and footage of a Sky News reporter questioning looters, both of which were said to be shot in the Clapham district of London.

Meanwhile, rioting continued in some areas yesterday, including in Manchester where a few of the videos below were reportedly shot. Below is a playlist of dramatic video from August 9th.
