Under the Ash Plume of the Grímsvötn Volcano

The eruption of the Grímsvötn volcano in Iceland over the weekend causing some traveling delays but also resulting in some incredible images that drew significant views on YouTube:



A group of students studying at the University of Iceland ventured out to the vicinity of the volcano and captured these images of the incredible amount of ash falling to the ground:
