On April 10th, 2010, Seattle-based OneDegreeEvents organized a set of "Glee" flashmob performances in the city's downtown that incorporated a reported 1,000 performers. A video of one of those performances has now been viewed a total of 1.6 million times.
365 days later, a new flashmob was organized over the past few weeks and executed Sunday afternoon. Early in the day, practice videos were appearing among the Most Shared clips in Seattle and late Sunday night, "glee flash mob seattle 2011" was appearing among our top rising searches on YouTube as some bystanders began posting footage they shot of the performance.
So anticipation has been high for this particular flashmob among the "Gleeks." Here's one perspective of end result:
