Warner Brothers announced yesterday the two new villains for "The Dark Knight Rises," the new Batman film to be directed by Christopher Nolan. Anne Hathaway will play the role of Catwoman and Tom Hardy will play Bane.

In the immediate hours following the announcement, we began to see analysis videos pour onto YouTube from comic book fans everywhere with their thoughts on the casting decision. Initial reaction to the names definitely ran the gamut, but there was appeared to be a significant amount of optimism. We collected a sample of those reactions in the playlist below:



The film is set to be released in July of 2012.
