Three artists have two videos on the list: Eminem, B.o.B., and Drake. What might jump out at you most is just how many views Eminem's videos, which make up the top two, drew this year compared to other videos in the genre, the data shows that while all these videos were popular in the US and in other countries, Eminem's videos this year were massively popular globally in a way that few music videos on the web have ever been.
Kanye West, whose "Power" drew millions of views in the past few months, may not have made the list but he did engineer one of the biggest web moments in the genre this year, releasing a 34 minute film on YouTube titled, "Runaway." Also just missing the list was Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How to Dougie," which pushed the "Dougie" dance video trend to the mainstream. Here's the full list:
