'Tornado' Searches Hit Major Highs

We've seen quite a few tornado videos this Spring draw heavy interest in the United States, so we went through YouTube's search data to look at relative searches for the word "tornado" over time.

Here's what we found:

Searches in the past two months for "tornado" have been at their highest point -- by a significant margin -- compared to the past few years. During that time frame, the state with the most regional interest was Alabama and the two largest spikes, which can be seen above, were around the Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Joplin, Missouri tornadoes.
