NCAA Trick Shots Trend

December 02, 2010

Outrageous basketball trickshots are practically tradition on YouTube -- see DudePerfect, whose videos have been viewed over 33 million times, or Legendary Shots -- but this year, some NCAA players at big time programs have also gotten in on the genre, creating their own compilations.

In the past month, this heavily shared video featuring Duke's Kyle Singler racked up 678,000+ views with only 8% coming from the state of North Carolina.
Now, this week, Syracuse guard Nick Resavy put out a video that saw a quick spike in viewers and was featured on sports blogs.
Way back in January, Ohio State's popular walk-on guard Mark Titus put out what's probably the most tongue-in-cheek montage in the lot, which was viewed over 375,000 times.
